For over 70 years, my family has served the retail community. Our business model of creating and supplying innovative and quality driven products to our customers has remained consistent over these seven decades.

Although we have days where our business seems complex, in reality, it’s pretty basic. We design, import, and distribute products to retailers.  Our strength derives in offering varied product categories, including Seasonal (Fall/Holiday and Spring/Summer), LED candles, Home Décor, tabletop, trend, and impulse.

Our family views our partnership with our retail customers as multidimensional. We work in front of the curve to anticipate items and categories consumers will be looking for, side by side to replenish merchandise to keep inventories in stock, and behind the sale to offer customer service after the purchase is made.

The Gerson Companies is a third generation family-owned design, import and distribution business, and it was founded in 1942 by my Grandparents, Oscar and Antonie Gerson. My grandfather traveled and made sales calls peddling sterling silver and turquoise jewelry in Western Kansas, and my grandmother filled orders and kept the books. From 1972 until 1997, the business was led by my Dad (Peter) and Uncle (Kurt). During this time, my dad and uncle brought an entrepreneurial spirit to our business, by leading us into exciting product categories and new channels of distribution.
