E-Commerce Coordinator

Position Summary: The E-Commerce Coordinator position focuses are as follows:

  • Daily interface with our E-Commerce counterparts at major retailers and maintenance of the account sales processes; including but not limited to:
  • Order confirmation and cancellations
  • Inventory management
  • General B2B customer service as it relates to E-Commerce orders.
  • Management of product taxonomy and item upload from The Gerson companies to major E-commerce websites.
  • The individual will work closely with various departments to complete required product templates by gathering product information including images, writing website descriptions, and inputting product dimensions.
  • The position requires working with internal systems and Microsoft applications (primarily Excel), to ensure all items are completed in a timely manner.
  • Building and fostering positive relationships with internal groups and customers are an essential component.

What an average day could entail:

  • Daily communication via email and phone to our retailers regarding order status, returns, refunds, etc.
  • Data entry and order processing
  • First tier customer support
  • Researching the competitive landscape for like products and developing/executing strategies for making Gerson product the most shoppable
  • Confirm accuracy of item data and descriptions

What you need to bring to the table:

  • 2+ years post college or related work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer facing communication
  • Background in data entry and data management
  • Ability to identify discrepancies in data and must be detail oriented
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Excellent follow-up and initiative skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at once and be able to escalate issues as they arise in a timely manner
  • Experience working in a team environment and communicating with others to collect pertinent product information
  • Prior E-Commerce experience (direct to consumer) highly desired
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to manipulate data and reports (Excel)

Workflow Analyst

Role Overview:

The Workflow Analyst will play a key role in developing, implementing, and managing how data moves through the company. The Workflow Analyst requires exceptional technical and analytical skills to lead projects that support operational objectives and maximize company return on investment. This role will collaborate with internal partners (all levels) and vendors to develop and enhance how data is utilized in the company. This position offers an opportunity to influence a broad scope of operational strategies, tactics, and internal processes.

This role will also provide reporting and training support across many departments and divisions through the integration of process workflows. The Workflow Analyst will demonstrate superior time management and organizational skills to effectively manage implementation of projects, processes, and other daily duties.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Work with Business Analyst to prepare and analyze reports and metrics to identify opportunities.
  • Areas of focuses are; call metrics, customer order data integrity, and usage of ERP data in order to meet operational goals.
  • Identify process and reporting improvement opportunities, execute against those opportunities, and successfully realize quantifiable benefits
  • Generate ad hoc data sets for improvement analyses and investigate data and order related issues.
  • Create and maintain ERP databases for reporting and tracking and troubleshooting with vendors and internal partners.
  • Process improvement:
  • Automate daily and monthly needs coming from disparate data sources to the appropriate departments.
  • Provide support for executive presentations.
  • Manage the company’s knowledge management database, keeping it organized and accurate.
  • Project management:
  • Provide project management oversight with an array of stakeholders from IT to external vendors to meet objectives directly impacting operational efficiencies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred BA / BS in computer science, marketing, finance, business administration
  • High level of self-motivation, ability to operate and accomplish goals independently and within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong oral and written skills, presentation skills, MS Visio, PowerPoint, PowerBI
  • Detail oriented aptitude
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environment

Salary Range: $47,000 – $55,000 + bonus

Facilities Supervisor

Company Overview:

Our corporate office and 500,000 sq. ft. distribution center / warehouse is located in Olathe, KS with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and sales personnel across the United States. We showcase our product lines in over 10 markets across the country including permanent showrooms in Atlanta and Las Vegas.

Role Overview:

The facilities supervisor position is a hands-on role that also coordinates a team of maintenance technicians for a large distribution center / light manufacturing and office area. This position is responsible for ensuring completion of all maintenance tasks in the facility and making sure the DC management team is aware if there are any gaps. The position ensures the correct resources are being applied to each problem and escalates to the management team when additional help is needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Continuously strive to increase the efficiency and reliability of equipment in the distribution center and office.
  • Communicate with and supervise the maintenance team to ensure a consistent message and consistent application of all company policies, programs, rules and regulations.
  • Support maintenance team in troubleshooting, finding/procuring parts, or escalating issues as required.
  • Work with the maintenance team to track breakdowns and develop countermeasures for repeat issues.
  • Prepare short and medium-term plans for equipment maintenance and communicate plans to the operations team. Develop long term plans with input from the managers, supervisors and operations team and ensure execution of the plans.
  • Working as a team with Supervisors, Maintenance team members, and Operations to plan, procure and document activities for the enhancement of machines in the assigned area.
  • Contacting vendors and manufacturers as needed for support in resolving issues or deploying projects.
  • Participate in safety or quality reviews and ensure corrective actions are carried out.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of reliability centered maintenance strategies
  • Monitor product notices to ensure proper handling, warehousing, storage, documentation and destruction of materials.
  • Maintains inventory levels by verifying physical inventory: performing mandatory cycle counts, inventory audits, audits of inventory processes and procedures and physical inventories.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a maintenance supervisor/coordinator in fast paced distribution center / light assembly environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate with teams working different shifts across a 24/7 schedule.
  • Experience leading a team of maintenance technicians toward a common goal.
  • Must be capable of working independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience making reliability/maintenance decisions to meet needs.
  • Proven track record of implementing improvement ideas.
  • Some afterhours and weekend work needed during two peak seasons.

Salary Range: $40,000 – $50,000 per year
