Olathe, KS – The GG Collection was selected as a finalist in the Tabletop Manufacturer category for the 23rd annual ARTS award by the Accessories Resource Team. These prestigious awards seek to honor the best among peers in each category.
This is the first ARTS nomination The GG Collection has received. A detailed portfolio with product will be submitted to a panel of judges for a two-day review in November. The winners will be announced at the January gala event, which celebrates the home decorative accessories industry.
The designers of The GG Collection saw a void in the marketplace for an old world look in kitchen, tabletop, and serving pieces. The design team set a high standard in the innovative use of stoneware and metal and created a look of casual elegance. “To be nominated is humbling and to be a finalist is incredible,” said Debbie Morgan, Brand Manager of The GG Collection. “It is an honor to be recognized as a company for design innovation and leadership, attention to detail, and unwavering quality. To be nominated for an ARTS Award, and selected as one of the five finalists, in our category is exciting for all of our associates and customers,” said Morgan.
The GG Collection began as Gracious Goods, and was founded by Leigh Anne Baysinger and Dixie Harrigan in a basement office. The GG Collection was acquired by The Gerson Companies in 2008 with Leigh Anne and Dixie continuing in their role of product design and development. “By usual standards, we are in no way a large company, but we have big hearts, great supporters, and a wonderful product line,” said Morgan. “It is an honor for The GG Collection to [be] a finalist for an ARTS Award. Thank you to all our customers and representatives who have made this possible.”
